Freebie on Subeta for Fashion of her gorgeous character Emilea Fox. I adore freckles so much, I actually squealed a little when I saw this lovely lady. I hope I did her justice!

---

Watercolour, gesso, coloured pencil and a quick touchup in ps7.

Her hair shade is not far from my own. This is lovely, I am curious about the mediums used.

Wow really? Lucky duck hehe I adore this hair colour so much (: Thankyou, Im glad you like it! Oops! I forgot to list the mediums haha it's just a bit of watercolour and gesso (I use white gesso instead of acrylic haha)and a touch of coloured pencil on top. Oh I adjusted it a tad in photoshop cause my scanner scans quite dark haha

If I were any more of a girl you might have made me blush out of joy. And for this, I thank you. I love mixing mediums, I feel that it helps in giving a piece depth. And I envy your watercolor abilities, cursed pastels have always been rather cruel to me. And the same goes with photoshop, I eagerly anticipate getting back into school so that I may become more inept. Although I should just buckle down and get a tablet. C'est la vie. I am rambling now, thank you for spreading such beauty.

Also, thank you for the link. :D I am gawking (and avoiding drooling into my tea cup) as we speak.

That makes me happy! haha I enjoy mixing mediums too and I completely agree with you (: I used to have it in my head that you ..just..couldnt mix them? Then I came across this gorgeous artist known as Carne Griffith who mixes tea and alcohol with her watercolours and it has the lovliest effect! Have you ever tried painting with coffee? It has the nicest result and smells so wonderful haha (: Aw haha thankyou, Im still only learning though. Oh do you work with pastels? I adore pastel work but I cannot use them for the life of me! Tablets do indeed make working with photoshop so much easier, I recommend investing in one if youre keen (: haha its okay! Im a bit of a rambler myself (could you tell?), thankyou for providing such a lovely conversation (:

I was under that impression for awhile as well, but in some instances rules are made to be broken. And I very simply could not resist. <3 I am familiar with her style, and I adore it. As an avid tea/coffee drinker I am surprised in myself for having not experimented with it yet, I have even debated going back to india ink which is something I have not used since I was a child.

We are all learning, constantly, new knowledge or experiences should be on your menu daily. Something I am also working on putting into practice. c: Pastels have always been cruel yet at the same time they are one of my favorite mediums when it comes to blending. Some of my favorite drawings/sketches are of sunsets, and pastels help to recreate this wonderfully. For me it came down to planning and patience. Every brand I find is different as well, so experiment until you find something comfortable and not completely cruel.

A tablet has been on my wish list for awhile now, I even know the brand/model that I want. ;) I greatly look forward to possessing one in the future. Ahh the world of possibilities that exists! And I should be thanking you for a lovely conversation as well, it is always a pleasure sharing with other artists. <3 All this talk of rambling has resulted in The Joker by: Steve Miller to become stuck in my head. What a glorious day.
